SAIHP Observes International Day of Persons with Disabilities in Bhubaneswar
The South Asian Institute for Health Promotion (SAIHP) marked the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3rd December with an awareness programme at UPHC Ghatikia, Bhubaneswar, focusing on inclusion, early care, and community support.
As part of the initiative, Dr. Saraswat (MD) and Dr. Dusmant (Physiotherapist) examined a young boy with cerebral palsy and provided essential guidance to his parents on care practices and therapeutic exercises to improve his quality of life.
The programme emphasized the importance of early awareness, empathy, and proper management in supporting persons with disabilities. This observance reinforced SAIHP’s commitment to promoting inclusive health practices and creating a more supportive and accessible community for all.
